Singer/Songwriter and pianist, Adrina Thorpe, is a refreshing sound in adult alternative pop. Her style reflects the softer side of music, with a haunting voice and a delicate touch at the piano.
Adrina has been writing songs for almost as long as she can remember. During her formative years she was completely immersed in classical music and musical theater. Adrina has been inspired by artists on all ends of the musical spectrum, however her sound still retains it's uniqueness.
Sometimes beauty must emerge from ashes and that is, metaphorically speaking, how Adrinas musical career began. Adrinas father, a stunning classical pianist, died tragically young due to an unexpected heart attack at the age of thirty-four three weeks after Adrina was born.
"Halflight and Shadows" , recorded between Los Angeles, Tuscany and Vienna, was produced by Filippo Gaetani and features extraordinary musicians among which Randy Cooke, Larry Briner, Dave Takahashi, Jordon Zadorozny.
The songs "Midnightt" and "Everything Changes" won the MTV Ourstage competition first prize in Pop respectively in 2010 and 2011.
